A noticeable decrease in pollinators has been observed around the world. In Paris, the oldest urban apiary in France, located in the Luxumbourg Garden, was built in 1856. Currently, more than 700 honeybee hives exist in parks, gardens, terraces and on rooftops providing habitat for honeybees, a connection to nature, education to the public and of course, honey! For one season, I shadowed a beekeeper who tends to the rooftop beehives in Paris.
